GB2 Tinder Tabs: All Weather Fire Tabs

Each GB2 Tinder Tab is specially treated to a high standard to ensure the cotton is waterproof and will provide a more than adequate burn time for starting a fire. Each tab burns for up to 4 minutes. In field testing that I have done, I found that wet tinder can be dried out and lit in as little as 15-30 seconds.

Each tin of GB2 Tinder Tabs comes packed with 8 tabs, so you should expect to be able to light several emergency fires with one tin.  This should be more than enough for any short-term emergency.

The GB2 Tinder Tabs tin features a sliding top and is suitable to be reused as a charring and storage tin for charcloth or charred natural material, or to carry small items like fishing kits, medicine, spices, or sewing kits.     Haven’t tested yet but from demonstrations should work quite well. Good container for emergency tinder. Removed several to split for other kits & make room for candles & tinder with accelerant. Packs very well.

    Although fatwood shavings catch a spark from a ferrocerium rod very quickly, there is the potential for scattering them, or trying to use them in a wind. The GB2 tinder tabs don’t have that problem, and light quickly from sparks.
