This is one of my new favorite fire kit pouches. This is a very functional, well designed piece of gear.

These pouches are beautiful, handcrafted works of functional art. The body of the bag is a rich oil-tanned leather, the two belt loops are heavy veg-tan secured with copper saddler's rivets, and an antler toggle and leather thong provide a secure method of closure. The body of the bag being oil-tanned means not only will it be flexible and durable but also highly, highly water resistant and provide an environment inside the pouch will help prohibit the formation of rust. The thick veg-tanned belt loops and the rivets will provide a very, very long service life. If you take care of this pouch, your grandkids will be running around with it on their belt someday.

I use this pouch to carry a small kit that I can throw on my belt to help round out my EDC gear that is also perfectly at home being used as a small bushcrafting kit. I like having a fixed blade knife in the woods, even if just a small one for carving and minor camp tasks, and a Mora Eldris will fit in the pouch either standing up or laying on its side at the bottom. That still leaves enough room for a single Hudson Bay tin or up to two smaller tins (such as Altoids or Snus) and still have enough room left over for a lighter, a hank of cordage, and other small incidentals.

I love this bag. I placed the brass tobacco tin in it with the rest of what I need for a fire kit with room to spare. Great quality workmanship.
