Poncho Liner (a.k.a. “Woobie”)
A poncho liner is a favored piece of military field gear that is used to provide additional warmth to the standard poncho when used as a ground shelter “Ranger Burrito”.
This poncho liner can also be used as a blanket, a ground mat, or a makeshift sleeping bag during mild weather.
Typically, these are considered “rated for comfort” at around 50 degrees F.
They are lightweight and very packable and make a great additional layer of insulation in colder weather when used with a wool blanket or sleeping bag.
The poncho liner also works well as a campfire blanket or throw for those times when you’re just relaxing with the family around a campfire or traveling on the road!

Is this the woobie used in the Ranger Roll or Ranger Burrito?
Yes, if you roll it in a poncho.
Is there cotton in this?
No. The liner is polyester and insulates when wet. Keep away from fire though!
